Horlicks Butter Rice


  • 70g Butter
  • 180g Fragrant Rice
  • 15g Chopped Onions
  • 5g Chopped Garlic
  • 320ml Water
  • 40ml Cooking Cream
  • 35g Horlicks
  • Salt and pepper for seasoning


  • Dilute the Horlicks into the cooking cream and mix it well.

  • In a frying pan on low-medium heat, melt the butter.

  • Add in onions and garlic and saut√© them till light brown.

  • Add in Fragrant rice.

  • Pour in the water, followed by the Horlicks and cooking cream mixture.

  • Season it with salt and pepper.

  • Fry the rice until the grains are slightly brown and smell fragrant.

  • Garnish/inclusions/served with: Deep fried onion
