Horlicks Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

Ingredients

  • 2 ½ cups (320g) all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp (15.28g) cinnamon
  • ½ tsp (3g) baking soda
  • ½ tsp (3g) baking powder
  • 1 cup (227g) unsalted/salted butter
  • 1 ½ cup (192g) Horlicks
  • ½ cup (153g) condensed sweetened milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp (4.9ml) vanilla extract
  • 3 cups (269.7g) rolled old-fashioned oats
  • 1 cup (159g) raisins
  • 1 cup (117g) chopped walnuts
  • Dark chocolate chips (if preferred)

Methods

  1. Preheat oven to 250°C.

  2. Line baking tray with parchment paper.

  3. Whisk flour, cinnamon, baking soda, and baking powder until evenly mixed and let it sit.

  4. Mix the condensed milk together with the butter and Horlicks using an electric or hand whisk.

  5. Crack one egg, blend it, then blend the second egg and add the vanilla extract.

  6. Cut the dough into shapes or make balls of dough. Transfer these to the bake tray.

  7. Bake until golden brown on edges (about 9-13 mins) and observe doneness.
